'˜I do' down the pit at the National Coal Mining Museum
The Overton venue is offering couples the chance to say their vows 140 metres below the surface - the underground equivalent of the height of Blackpool Tower.
The first pit wedding is booked to take place in July after Asparagus Green Catering Limited was granted a licence to host civil wedding ceremonies. Couples who prefer a more traditional approach can also tie the knot at the newly decorated Caphouse Suite. Anthony Hegney, managing director, said “We are so excited about growing our wedding offer. We are absolutely delighted to now have five weddings currently being planned.”
