Honest Mum launches book

Award-winning blogger and vlogger Vicki Psarias - who has collaborated with celebrity chefs Jamie Oliver and James Martin and interviewed countless celebrities - is holding a book launch and Q&A at the Rainbow Factory in Farsley in which she will share her tips for success.

Plus, the talented team from the centre – which specialises in storytelling through the creative arts – is providing free children’s entertainment throughout the event on Sunday May 13, 1-3pm - the only one of its kind taking place in the North.

Vicki, an award-winning TV director and filmmaker, created lifestyle blog Honest Mum, one of the UK’s most popular parenting and lifestyle sites.

Her first book - Mumboss: The Honest Mum’s Guide to Surviving and Thriving at Work and at Home is published on May 3 and Vicki – who works with brands including Disney and Land Rover among others - is returning to her home city of Leeds to share her tips with other parents on how they could potentially follow in her footsteps.

Children will be taking part in interactive storytelling workshops and other hands-on activities inspired by some of their favourite books – while the grown-ups find out how they could turn their passion into a successful business that suits their lifestyle.

The Rainbow Factory opened in June 2015 with the aim of helping to raise literacy standards among primary school children and encourage a love of reading.

Vicki - who recently attended a Q&A with A-Listers Oprah and Reese Witherspoon - will be sharing invaluable advice on issues such as: how to turn your passions into a business that suits your lifestyle, how to find your voice, how to set up your own digital business (eg: blog/vlog) and how to return to work with confidence after maternity leave or time away.

Mumboss is described as ‘an essential book for all parents, whether they are returning to work or looking to start a new career, as well as anyone looking to build their brand or business online’.

The Honest Mum blog, combined with Vicki’s social channels, has an average monthly reach of 1 million.
