Good Samaritan helps to talk woman down from Leeds motorway bridge

A good Samaritan intervened to persuade a vulnerable woman to come down from a bridge in Leeds.

The female passer-by stepped in to help after becoming concerned about the woman, who was standing on the Dewsbury Road bridge over the M621 near Hunslet.

She talked to the woman while police closed off part of the road below and diverted traffic at 10.20pm on Tuesday night.

The woman was safely escorted down and taken to hospital for a mental health assessment.
