But there’s also an event that offers punters a more permanent reminder of the event.

The Leeds International Tattoo Expo (LITE) is coming to the New Dock Hall at Leeds Dock next month.

The convention, which is now in its third year, includes competitions, workshops, live music, parties and more than 120 tattoo artists from across the globe.

Guest tattoo artists will be travelling from as far away as Australia and South America for the event.

They will be working alongside local businesses such as UK Custom Plugs, RSI Apparel, Harlow’s Den and Awesome Merchandise.

Silvia Legaria, owner of Leeds-based tattoo studio Ultimate Skin set up the convention in 2013 when she realised Yorkshire lacked a stand-out event for the industry.

Since then, the convention has continued to grow in size every year.

LITE runs from June 4 to June 5, with parties held at Santiago’s in the Grand Arcade.

Tickets cost £15 for a day pass or £25 for a weekend pass at www.leedstattooexpo.com.
