The new eatery is nestled next to award-winning restaurant Kendells Bistro and situated opposite Northern Ballet and the Leeds College of Music at St Peters Place.

Estabulo is due to launch on Tuesday, April 19, and serves up a range of meat cooked on the skewer, from beef tenderloin and sirloin steak to chicken hearts and pork belly.

It is being taken on by the people behind Mex Cantina in Wakefield. Speaking previously, owner Zack Issak told City Buzz: “It’s an exciting time as the whole area is going through redevelopment.

“There is already a great range of restaurants and we look forward to joining them.”

With plans underway for the West Yorkshire Playhouse to get a £14m revamp, there’s plenty of investment going on in the area. Not to mention the plans for Quarry Hill, which include offices, leisure facilities, a college, hundreds of flats and a car park.

We can’t wait to see this part of town come into its own.
