Fire crews rescue Yorkshire two-year-old locked inside car

Fire crews rescued a two-year-old child in North Yorkshire today who locked themselves inside a car - with the keys.

Crews were mobilised in Little Langton, North Yorkshire shortly after 9am this morning.

The child had accidentally locked themselves inside the car along with the keys.

Crews used small tools to gain access to the vehicle, the fire service log said.

The child was reunited with their parents shortly after.

In Scarborough, crews also rescued a woman and child who were locked inside a top floor flat.

They used crew power to gain access to the flat.

A faulty door handle was thought to be the cause of the locked door.

Crews gave advice to the occupants.
