And now it seems other venues are following suit and trying to cash in on the good weather.
The Faversham is joining in with the latest craze and will offer film buffs the chance to enjoy various open air screenings under the stars this summer.
The Open Air Cinema Club is pitching up on The Faversham’s lawn and inviting movie-goers to soak up some moonlit movie magic.
The first event will be held on Sunday, July 31, and will include a screening of the popular Tarantino movie Pulp Fiction.
A screening of Dirty Dancing will then be held on Monday, August 1.
The movies will be shown in high-definition projection on giant screens.
Visitors can sit back and relax on deck chairs on The Faversham’s mulberry tree-enclosed lawn as they watch the movies.
Leeds bar Sela will also be getting involved, serving up homemade pizzas for hungry movie-goers.
The Faversham’s pop-up bar will also be on hand during the events.
We’re sure The Faversham won’t be the last venue to jump on board with such a cool concept, and we hope to see more events like this in Leeds in the future.
l The screenings on July 31 and August 1 both start at 7.45pm, with doors opening at 6pm.
