Hector, Harley and their sister Hope are part of a family of endagered Amur tigers, whose numbers have dwindled to critical levels due to poaching and disappearing habitat.

The trio enjoyed some special meat filled presents yesterday in their reserve at Land of the Tiger, at the Doncaster attraction.

“They represent the future of one of the most beautiful big cats on the planet,” said Kim Wilkins, Carnivore Team Leader, who has looked after the cubs since they were born last March.

“We are a part of an international programme to save the species and Hector, Harley and Hope are crucial to that. This will be a very special birthday.”
