Emergency services tackled a fire at a derelict building in Leeds last night.

Crews were called to reports of the building on Gipsy Lane, Beeston on Monday night (July 20)

Engines and crews from Hunslet Fire Station were mobilised to the incident, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said.

The fire was confined to a compartment on the second floor of the two-storey building.

A total of four pumps were used initially before an aerial appliance attended from Leeds Fire Station.

The fire was dealt with and crews returned to the station, it was confirmed.
