Crime scene investigators and CID detectives were called to the scene and the death was initially treated as “unexplained.”

Now five days on, a West Yorkshire Police spokesperson has confirmed that the exact cause of his death is still “unascertained,” although they have officially ruled out any form of foul play.

“It has been established that there are no suspicious circumstances in the death of a man whose body was found in a property on Scott Hall Drive, Chapeltown, on Wednesday morning,” a force spokesperson said.

“The cause of his death is still unascertained, and further enquiries are being conducted.”
