Drake spends over £500 on chicken for post-gig meal

Rap superstar Drake ordered over £500 worth of chicken wings and sides while visiting Leeds.

The Canadian bought the feast from Nando's on Briggate during his two-night stay this week.

A photo posted on Twitter of the order on the restaurant's tills showed a bill of £534.55 for wings and side dishes.

The haul would be enough to feed Drake's entourage after the star performed at the First Direct Arena.

A member of staff confirmed that a friend of the popstar collected the takeaway - which included a large amount of garlic bread - at around 10.30pm, after the concert had finished.

But the scramble to satisfy the Toronto-born rapper's chicken cravings meant other customers had to wait their turn.

Nightclub and events promoter Paddy Mulcahy posted on Facebook:

'Just popped into Nando's for a pre-sell out meal and we aren't being served because Drake has ordered £600 worth of chicken wings!'

Drake is thought to have stayed at the boutique Malmaison Hotel while in Leeds for his Boy Meets World tour dates, and arrived in the city on a private jet which touched down at Leeds Bradford Airport.

Celebrities including Manchester United footballer Paul Pogba and boxer Chris Eubank Jnr were spotted enjoying the show on its first night, and several members of the Leeds United squad were also in the audience.
