First up, the Dolls ‘B’ team, the Whip Its beat Furness Firecrackers’ Flaming Noras with a comfortable 228 points to 139, then the ‘A’ team, the Rebel Roses, built on their success with a win over Royal Windsor Royal Girls, 221 points to 178 - their first game in this year’s British Championships.

Roses co-captain Hayley Avron said: “We have some tough games ahead of us, playing some of the best teams in the UK before we head to the USA for a tournament in Colorado in June, so it was really encouraging to get a home win under our belts.“
