Dinosaur-themed fun day roars its way into Leeds

A dinosaur-themed family fundraising event is being hosted at The Light in Leeds this weekend, as part of a UK wide shopping centre charity drive.

The free event, which will take place on Saturday 16 June, is part of an initiative called 'One Great Day' which helps to raise money for children receiving critical medical care at Great Ormand Street Children's Hospital.

The fun-filled dino-day will include a special charity screening of the new Jurassic World film on a giant cinema screen inside The Light centre, and will offer youngsters in the city the chance to meet life-like dinosaurs, inculding a six foot T-Rex baby.

There will also be a dinosaur mask making workshop to take part in, along with an exciting fossil hunt.

Held at The Light from 11am to 4pm, the fundraising event is donation only with all proceeds going towards the great cause of supporting Great Ormand Street Hospital.

Speaking ahead of the event, Stephanie James, marketing manager at The Light, commented: "Here at The Light we are committed to supporting families in a fun and engaging way.
