'Young teenagers' escape from Mini Cooper in Beeston after person calls police about dangerous driving

'Young teenagers' ran away from a car in Leeds just before police officers attended to it following a report that it was being driven dangerously.

The officers were patrolling the Beeston area of south Leeds this evening (Thursday) when a member of the public called them about the pictured red Mini Cooper being driven dangerously.

The person that made the call said it appeared to be 'young teenagers' in the car.

Police attended and seized the Mini after 'several youngsters' ran away from it.

A post on the West Yorkshire Police south Leeds Facebook page said: "This evening PCSO’s from Team 3 were on patrol in the Beeston area when a call was received from a member of the public about the pictured vehicle being driven dangerously by what appeared to be young teenagers.

"The officers quickly attended and seized the vehicle after several youngsters ran away from it."
