A man has been seriously injured after being attacked in Beeston, police said.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after the assault in Leeds.

The attack happened at around 8.50pm on Saturday May 29 on Dewsbury Road, close to the junction of Temple Road.

Officers attended and found a man who was seriously injured, police said.

The 24-year-old was taken to hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life threatening, police confirmed.

Enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing to members of the public to assist.
