'You robbed them of their innocence': Leeds child rapist said he 'didn't care' about his victims after being found guilty of raping infant boy and girl

Peter Jackson was given an extended prison sentence after a jury found him guilty of a series of horrific sexual offences against two children.
Leeds Crown Court heard distressing details of how Jackson preyed on the children when they were aged as young as three years old.

Hide AdJackson, now aged 30, was a teenager when he first preyed on the two victims.
The factory worker committed sex offences against each victim on at least ten occasions.
The court heard how the boy suffered injuries as a result of the abuse which were described by a doctor as the worst he had ever seen.
Jackson, of Blandford Gardens, Woodhouse, Leeds, was found guilty of five counts of rape and one of sexual assault after a trial in November last year.

Hide AdSusannah Proctor, mitigating, said Jackson continues to deny the offences.
Jackson was given an extended prison sentence of 13 years, nine months.
He must serve a custodial term of 12 years, nine months, followed a further year on licence.
Sentencing, Judge Simon Phillips QC said both victims had suffered severe psychological trauma as a result of the abuse.

Hide AdHe told Jackson: "A pre-sentence report has been prepared in which you continue to deny responsibility, saying you do not care about the children. They are no longer of importance to you.
"You used them for sexual gratification.
"This was unrelenting sexual offending. You robbed them of their innocence."
