Yorkshire residents asked to spot 'caravan convoy' after five thefts from storage
Yorkshire residents have been asked to help spot a convoy of caravans in the county after five were stolen from storage.
Police are asking people in the Selby area to check CCTV and dashcam footage and report any sightings of a convoy of stolen caravans.
Between 3pm on Monday April 26 and 12pm the following day, offenders entered a caravan storage area in a field north of Selby.
Five caravans were stolen, police said.
It is believed they were driven across fields in the direction of Cawood, and left the area in an unknown direction.
However, one line of enquiry is that they may have subsequently travelled to Sherburn in Elmet and on towards the A1(M).
Anybody who saw a convoy of caravans travelling in the area at the time of the thefts is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101.
A spokesperson said: "Please quote reference 12210106875 when passing information."
