Wyther Lane canal bridge in Kirkstall closed following crash as vehicle is abandoned

Police were called to reports of the crash on Armley Ridge Road in Kirkstall this morning.

A vehicle involved in the crash has since been found abandoned.

Officers are guarding the scene at the canal bridge on the Wyther Lane and Broad Lane junction as a road closure has been put in place.

No injuries have been reported and police enquiries are continuing.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "We received a report of a collision this morning on Armley Ridge Road, which involved a vehicle that has since been found abandoned.

"No injuries have been reported.

"A road closure is in place at the Wyther Lane/Broad Lane junction and enquiries are continuing."
