Woman dies after being found unconscious at bus stop in Seacroft

A woman has died after being found unconscious at a bus shelter on South Parkway in Seacroft.

The 19-year-old woman was found by a member of the public at 5.05am today (Wednesday).

She was taken to hospital by ambulance but was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said the circumstances of her death are currently being treated as unexplained.

South Parkway is closed near the junction with Ironwood View and the bus shelter is taped off by police as they investigate the woman's death.

First Bus services are being diverted due to the incident.

Service 4 to Pudsey is diverting via Ironwood View, Ironwood Approach and Foundry Lane.

Service 4 to Seacroft is diverting via Foundry Lane, Ironwood Approach and Ironwood View.
