The woman was assaulted on The Lines in Millennium Village on February 10 at around 2.40pm.

Some CCTV footage in the area shows a man on a bike get onto The Lines from a gap in the fence on Manor House View.

He was on a black mountain bike with a rucksack on his back and wearing a dark rainproof jacket.

Police are appealing for any Millennium Village residents with CCTV to look at their cameras between 2.30pm and 2.40pm to see if any camera has caught him as 'he must have cycled through the village to get to Manor House View'.

PC Andrew Hurley of the East Leeds Neighbourhood Policing Team said he 'knows who it is and will identify the suspect' as he urged residents not to share CCTV images between each other to ensure no one wrongly gets the finger pointed at them.

Any CCTV images should be sent directly to Andrew Hurley on [email protected].

PC Hurley posted on the area's Facebook page to appeal for the images: "This message is for the Millennium Village residents in Allerton Bywater.

"I am looking into a crime where a female was assaulted by a male on The Lines on the 10/2/21 at 14:40hrs.

"I have viewed some CCTV in the area and it clearly shows a male on a bike get onto the Lines from the gap in the fence on Manor House View. He gets on the lines just before 14:40hrs. I believe this is the suspect.

"He is wearing a dark rainproof jacket on a black mountain bike with a ruck sack on his back.

"Can I please ask any resident with CCTV in the area to look at their cameras at 14:30 - 14:40 on the 10th to see if he is caught on camera in the Millennium Village. He must have cycled through to get to Manor House View.

"I have knocked on several houses this morning but their cameras have not caught anything.

"Let's see if the power of Facebook can help

"Please don't share these images between yourselves as I don't want the wrong person to get the finger pointed at, I know who it is and will identify the suspect.

"Can any images please be sent direct to myself at [email protected].
