Several residents said they heard the police helicopter circling over the area yesterday evening.

One man said: "My brother said it was circling so low that the bathwater was shaking."

The police cordon stretches from the junction with Beeston Road, down and stops shortly before the Hillside Enterprise Centre.

Some residents are not keen to speak

A postman on his morning round said: "People just want to stay out of it, there's a lot of intimidation."
