Wetherby Services: Petrol station near Leeds repeatedly targeted in series of shop thefts as alcohol stolen

A petrol station near Leeds has been repeatedly targeted in a series of thefts that saw booze snatched from shelves.

The shoplifting spate, that was reported at the BP Garage at Wetherby Services, involved “several alcoholic beverages being stolen”.

North Yorkshire Police has released CCTV pictures of a man they want to speak to following the thefts on August 14 and 17.

In a statement, the force said: “We’ve issued this CCTV still of a man we would like to speak to following a series of shop thefts from Wetherby Services.

“It happened on 14 August 2024 and 17 August 2024 at the BP Garage at Wetherby Services and involved several alcoholic beverages being stolen from the premises.”
