Watch: Horror video captures moment teens brutally fight with 24 inch machetes during broad daylight in Leeds

‘Lawless’ A horror video caught the moment three teenagers attacked each other with 24 inch machetes during broad daylight in Leeds.

The chilling mobile phone footage shows a young man dressed in black repeatedly striking a person with a machete on Kirkstall Hill, Leeds, at 2:30 pm on Saturday November 8.

Moments later the thug can then be seen violently swinging his weapon at another person. The fight then spills onto the main road where another armed yob can be seen kneeling on the floor, allegedly injured during the bust-up.

Nigel Himsworth, 52, witnessed the attack alongside son as they were returning home from his football match.

The dad from Barnsley, South Yorks, said: "We were coming down the slip road and there were cars stopped in front of us. I didn't know what was going on so wound down my window and popped my head out to see the lads going at each other with machetes.

"It made me feel sick to the bone, it was brutal. It wasn't very nice to see and it just goes to show how lawless the country is becoming. My son was upset which was the worse part. I've never seen a weapon so big in my life, they were huge.

"Luckily it seemed no one was seriously injured but that is beside the point as fights like these shouldn't be happening in broad daylight."

Nigel said the horrid fight lasted around 10 minutes, with the police only arriving after the yobs had fled on electric bikes. The dad said he was "disappointed" the police didn't arrive quicker.

Police have since confirmed they were called to Kirkstall Hill, Leeds, on Saturday afternoon (November 8) after reports of youths fighting with machetes. An 18 year old man has been charged with threatening a person with a blade in a public place.

The teenager suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries and will appear in court at a later date.

West Yorkshire Police have been approached for a comment.
