Police released a video earlier this month of a man filmed near Burley Park, where Polish national Waldek Mural was found dead last September.

Now they have released an audible version of the footage – filmed by a member of the public – in which the man can be heard talking.

He says: “We are in business together. That’s probably ‘cause I’ve done something else.”

Detective Chief Inspector Jim Dunkerley, of West Yorkshire Police Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, said: “Despite a reasonable level of coverage in the media and on social media, we have not yet received any information that could assist us in identifying this man.

“The footage gives a fairly clear impression of what he looks like and we hope that by including his voice someone will recognise him.

“He seemed to be slurring as if he had been out for the night and we are keen to hear from either the man himself or anyone who recognises him so we can speak to him at the earliest opportunity.

“This is a murder investigation and I cannot stress enough how important it is that we trace this man who may have information we need.”

The body of 57-year-old Mr Mural was found in the park, off Cardigan Lane, in Burley, shortly before 7am on Saturday, September 5.

Grzegorz Kowalczyk, aged 41, from Headingley, was charged with the murder on September 11 last year and is due for trial at Leeds Crown Court.

Anyone with information should call police on 01924 334710 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
