Vicar Lane stabbing: Eight arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after 17-year-old stabbed in Leeds city centre

Police were called to Vicar Lane in Leeds city centre at about 6pm on Friday night (July 3).
A 17-year-old boy was found with injuries to his back and was taken to hospital, where he remains in a serious condition, but his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Hide AdEight men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. All eight remained in custody on Saturday morning.


A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: At 18.06 yesterday police were called to report of a stabbing at Vicar Lane in Leeds City Centre.
"A 17 year old man was found with injuries to his back, he’s in hospital in a serious but not life threatening condition.
"Eight males have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remain in custody at this time.
"Extensive enquiries are underway.
