Two teenagers arrested after police find nitrous oxide canisters in Leeds city centre drugs bust
Two teenagers have been arrested after a drugs bust in Leeds.
Officers were on patrol on Saturday, July 25 when they stopped a suspicious vehicle in the city centre.
Cannabis and psychoactive substances, believed to be nitrous oxide canisters, were found inside the vehicle.
The two occupants, aged 19 and 20, were arrested on suspicion of drug supply offences.
The stop was made as part of Operation Jemlock, a West Yorkshire Police crackdown on serious violent crime and drugs crime.
More than 3,000 arrests have been made since the operation launched in April 2019.
The Operation Jemlock team tweeted a picture showing three boxes of canisters and said: "Op Jemlock officers on patrol in Leeds have cause to stop a vehicle in the city centre.
