Two people injured after jumping from windows to escape Leeds house fire

Two people have been injured after jumping from the windows of a Leeds home to escape a fire.

The fire service attended the home on Trentham Row in Beeston shortly after 1am this morning.

The ground floor sitting room of the house was 'well alight'.

To escape the blaze, two people had jumped from the 1st floor window and 2nd floor window respectively prior to the arrival of the emergency services.

One casualty sustained serious leg injuries and was tended to by the fire service until the arrival of paramedics.

The other casualty suffered minor injuries and was also taken to hospital.

Crews from Hunslet and an aerial ladder platform from Leeds attended to tackle the fire.
