Two men attacked with machetes outside Leeds takeaway

Two men have been seriously injured after they were attacked with machetes outside a pizza and kebab shop in Lincoln Green.

The incident happened outside Adam's Takeaway on Saturday afternoon and two teenagers have now been arrested.

Two men, aged 28 and 38, suffered injuries to their arm and hand.

West Yorkshire Police said:-

"Detectives are continuing to investigate an incident in Leeds in which two men were assaulted with a machete and seriously injured.

"Two men, both aged 18, were arrested yesterday on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent in relation to the incident. They were subsequently bailed pending further enquiries.

"At 4.10pm on Saturday (1/12), officers were called to a report of 28-year-old man with injuries to his arm in Cromwell Mews, Lincoln Green.

"A further call was received reporting a 38-year-old man with injuries to his hand in Lincoln Green Road.

"Both men were taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment. Their injuries were not considered life threatening.

"The 28-year-old man has since discharged himself from hospital and the other man is continuing to receive treatment.

"The incident was found to have occurred at the side of Adam's Takeaway, on Lincoln Green Road, and a scene was put in place for forensic examination."
