Officers closed the road as part of the pre-planned operation in the A58 Roundhay Road late this afternoon (Wednesday).

Two men were arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and are now in police custody.

Traffic was heavily disrupted in the area for several hours due to the police road closures.

The road has since reopened and traffic has returned to normal.

Police are continuing with their enquiries.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Police attended at an address on Roundhay Road in Leeds on Wednesday afternoon as part of an ongoing investigation.

"Two men were arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and remain in police custody.

"Enquires remain ongoing this evening."
