A total of 27 drivers were caught speeding outside a Leeds primary school on Thursday night.

PCSOs from Leeds North East NPT were on Shadwell Lane using a speed gun to conduct speed checks.

A total of 27 vehicles were exceeding the speed limit, police said.

Moortown Primary School is located on the same road.

Police will 'follow up with drivers' according to a social media post.

Leeds East Team posted: "PCSOs from Leeds North East NPT have been on Shadwell Lane with the speed gun as part of our continuing road safety work.

"27 vehicles were exceeding the speed limit and we will now follow up with them. #fatal4 #pleasewatchyourspeed"
