Thug held pregnant girlfriend prisoner at Leeds home and repeatedly abused and beat her
A vile boyfriend held his pregnant girlfriend captive for days, abusing and beating her.
Omar Hussain put a duvet over her head to stop her screaming and punched her while calling her names.
It was only after days of being held against her will was she able to escape.
Teenager Hussain was jailed at Leeds Crown Court this week after admitting two counts of ABH and one count of false imprisonment.
The court heard that the couple had been together around 18 months but there were previous reports of domestic violence.
In January this year, an argument broke out and he punched her.

He then put the duvet over her face to stifle any noises and made threats to rape her if she did not “shut up”.
He then wrapped a tea towel around his hand and continued to punch her.
The next day she wanted to go to hospital but he refused to let her go. He locked all of the doors and said she was not leaving.
She tried to escape but he kept her “under close observation” for days, prosecutor Adam Walker told the court.
During that time he assaulted her again, putting the duvet over her and punching her.
She eventually persuaded him to let her out saying she needed to visit social services.
By that time she numerous messages and missed calls on her phone.
Hussain, of East Park Mount, Richmond Hill, was arrested on January 30 and made “full and frank admissions”.
He said he had been taking ecstasy during the whole ordeal with his partner.
He appeared in court this week over a video link from HMP Doncaster where he has been held since his arrest.
Mitigating, Samreen Akhtar said Hussain had been previously homeless, had admitted the offences from the outset and had expressed remorse, regret and contrition.
She said he suffered mental-health issues and had made a suicide attempt last year.
Judge Alex Menary pointed out that he had held the woman for a week, so it was persistent offending.
He jailed him for four years.
