Thug attacked pregnant girlfriend's home before 100mph chase through Leeds in stolen Land Rover

A thug who smashed a window at his pregnant girlfriend's home and was involved in a dangerous police chase in a stolen Range Rover has been sent to prison.

Jordan Reynolds was the subject of a suspended sentence order over an attack in which the victim was blinded in one eye when he committed the offences earlier this year.

Leeds Crown Court heard Reynolds caused the damage at his partner's home in Bramley on March 19 after she ended their relationship.

Jessica Randell, prosecuting, said the woman was 14 weeks pregnant with Reynolds' child at the time.

Reynolds went to the house to collect his belongings and became angry when he could not find some of his property

Ms Randell said the defendant made threats then used a spade to smash a window.

Reynolds carried out the driving offence on July 25 while he was on bail.

Ms Randell said police saw Reynolds driving a Range Rover containing three passengers.

The vehicle had been hired by another person and Reynolds had no driving licence and was uninsured.

Reynolds refused to stop despite officers putting on blue lights and sirens.

He drove at double the speed limit on roads in built up areas of Leeds.

At one stage he drove on the wrong side of the carriageway, causing oncoming drivers to swerve to avoid a collision.

He reached 100mph at one stage during the pursuit.

The defendant was arrested from the vehicle when he drove down a dead-end.

Reynolds, of Heights Lane, Armley, pleaded guilty to criminal damage, dangerous driving, aggravated vehicle taking, having no licence, having no insurance and breach of a suspended sentence order.

Mark McKone, mitigating, said his client accepted he must face a prison sentence for his latest offending.

Reynolds was jailed for 18 months.

Judge Christopher Batty said: "There is only one course the court can take today and that is to lock you up."

Reynolds was also banned from driving for two years and nine months.

The court heard he is no longer in a relationship with the criminal damage victim.

He was made the subject of a restraining order banning him from going near her home.
