Three men armed with sledgehammers attempt to rob jewellers in Wetherby

It happened at the Kendall's Jewellers shop in High Street on Saturday, September 5.

Officers were called to the scene at about 1.18pm to reports of three men in the store.

They were armed with sledgehammers and claw hammers.

The men fled the scene in a red vehicle.

West Yorkshire Police confirmed that CID officers remain at the scene.

Enquiries are ongoing.
