Three Armley children driven away in mum's stolen car during horrifying carjacking

A Leeds mum had her car stolen and driven away in Armley - with her three young daughters still onboard.

The incident took place at 9am on Saturday (October 3) on Armley Ridge Road.

The mum's Ford Kuga was driven away with her daughters, aged four, five and seven, on board.

The children were found safe nearby a short time later.

The car was found set alight in Rothwell.

Four people are due to appear in court today charged over the incident.

As a result of an investigation by officers from Leeds District Crime Team, Ryan Fraser, aged 26, of Fifth Avenue, Rothwell, has been charged with robbery, kidnap, conspiracy to pervert the course of justice, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

Tom Woolams, 34, of Sixth Avenue, Rothwell, Nicole Swaine, 22, of Fifth Avenue, Rothwell and Rachel Barrow, aged 28, of Sixth Avenue, Rothwell, have been charged with arson and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

They are all due to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court today.
