Teenage motorcyclist killed after truck crash near Bramham in Leeds

A young man has been killed in a motorbike crash in north Leeds.

The 19-year-old was riding the bike when it crashed with a silver Toyota pick-up truck pulling a trailer on Paradise Way, which runs adjacent to the A1(M), at Bramham on Friday afternoon.

Emergency services were summoned to the scene and the motorcyclist was treated by paramedics, but sadly he was pronounced dead a short time later.

West Yorkshire Police has has informed the man's family, who are being supported by a family liaison officer.

The force is now appealing for any potential witnesses to the collision, or anyone who may have seen either vehicle in the moments beforehand.

The bike, a white Aprilla 125, collided with the silver Toyota Hilux truck at around 1.40pm.

The Toyota driver was interviewed voluntarily in relation to the crash.
