Teen appears in court charged with robbing Wetherby shop

A teenager is to appear in court after being charged with robbing a shop in Wetherby, police said.

Liam Pearcey-Skey, 18, appeared at Leeds Magistrates Court on Saturday, April 24, after he was charged with robbery and two counts of being in possession of a bladed article in a public place.

Two of the charges relate to an incident which occurred at The Paper Shop in Wetherby on Monday, April 19.

The other charge relates to an incident in which a knife was recovered by police officers in The Headrow on Thursday, April 22.

Pearcey-Sky, from Wetherby, was remanded in custody to next appear at Leeds Crown Court on 21 May, police confirmed.
