Suspected illegal immigrant driver and passenger arrested following car crash

A driver and passenger suspected of being in the UK illegally have been arrested in Leeds.

The driver lost control of their car in wet road conditions on the M621 motorway in Morley.

There were no injuries as a result of the single vehicle crash.

Police attended the scene and arrested both the driver and passenger on suspicion of illegal entry into the UK.

The UK border force will now be dealing with the pair.

West Yorkshire Police road policing officers revealed what had happened on social media: "M621, Morley - Thankfully no injuries at this single vehicle RTC which lost control in wet road conditions.

"However the driver and passenger were both arrested for the Immigration offence of illegal Entry to the UK.

"UK Border Force will now be dealing."
