A suspected drunk driver was arrested in Hyde Park for the third time in just eight days, police said.

The driver was "all over the road" and narrowly avoided colliding with parked cars on Tuesday night according to police.

The man was more than twice the limit when he was stopped, police confirmed.

It was the third time in just eight days that he had been arrested for the same offence.

The driver was remanded into custody.

A post by West Yorkshire Police Roads Policing Unit said: "Hyde Park, Leeds - Driver all over the road last night and narrowly avoided colliding with parked cars.

"He was more than twice the limit and it was the third time in 8 days he had been arrested for the same offence.

"Driver remanded into custody."
