Supermarket worker attacked with a knife in Leeds store

A member of staff at a Lidl supermarket in Leeds was attacked with a knife last night.

It happened at the store on Harrogate Road in Chapel Allerton at around 6.10pm (Friday).

A spokeswoman for West Yorkshire Police confirmed that they had been called to reports that a store worker had been "assaulted with a knife". When they got there they found the man had a minor injury to his finger and didn't require hospital treatment.

Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1401.
