Serial shoplifter banned from city centre and shops including Tesco and Spar
He pleaded guilty to shop thefts
A 37-year-old Wakefield man has been barred from the city centre and a number of shops - including Spar and Tesco.
Daniel Flavell, of Barden Road, Eastmoor, appeared at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on August 20 where he pleaded guilty to theft from shop offences.

He was handed a suspended prison sentence and made the subject of a four-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) banning him from entering Wakefield city centre.
Under the terms of the CBO, he must not enter Wakefield city centre or remain on any retail premises in the Wakefield District, except when attending pre-arranged appointments.

He is also banned from entering the following stores which are outside the exclusion zone: Spar, Wentworth St, Wakefield; Tesco, Stanley Rd, Wakefield; Tesco, Bradford Rd, Wakefield; Premier, Leeds Rd, Wakefield; One Stop Shop (Go Local), Bradford Rd, Wakefield.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Neighbourhood Officers will be keeping their eyes out as part of our regular patrols, but you can also help by reporting if you witness any potential breaches of these conditions.
“Any breaches are a criminal offence and could result in Daniel Flavell being sent to prison.”
