These are the names and faces of seven heinous criminals who were locked up this week.

Their crimes include a Leeds police officer who was jailed for raping a woman over 20 years ago.

Also sentenced at Leeds Crown Court this week, was a thief who stole a hospital patient's mobile phone and wallet from her bedside as she slept.

PC Jo Lavender, who worked in the Leeds District, has been jailed for seven years after being found guilty of rape at York Crown Court on October 19. The victim first came forward in December 2024 to report the offence, which occurred in 2002. PC Lavender had joined as a police staff member earlier that year and became a police officer in 2005.
