Reports of West Yorkshire school pupils being approached by man

There have been reports made to the police of pupils at a West Yorkshire secondary school being approached by a man in the street.

Two reports were received regarding pupils from Honley High School being approached.

West Yorkshire Police received the reports about the Kirklees pupils on November 10.

The man has been spoken to, say police, and there have been no further reports since.

West Yorkshire Police Kirkless Rural said on their Facebook page: “With regards to a story you may have seen online today regarding Honley High School pupils being approached.

“We can confirm that two reports were received on 10 November and a local man was identified from enquiries.

“He has been spoken to and there have been no further reports of this nature. Anyone with similar concerns is advised to contact us on 101. Thank you.”

Anyone with information on any similar reports is asked to call police on 101.
