BMW puncture for panicking Leeds paedophile led police to his sick interests
A convicted paedophile was caught out again by chance after police stopped to help him with a flat tyre.
McKenzie McRae panicked and tried to run off when they pulled over to assist him and his BMW in Leeds.
He was jailed at Leeds Crown Court after he was found storing more than 600 sickening child-abuse images.
He was previously given a community order in July 2023 for possessing such images, and was on sa exual harm prevention order (SHPO).

The 20-year-old admitted three new offences of making indecent images, and breaches of his SHPO.
The court heard that police pulled over on Temple Newsam Road on the morning of November 8, 2023, just months after McRae was convicted.
The officer approached him but he appeared to act nervously, putting his phone in his pocket.
He then just ran off, pursued by the officers. He ran through woodlands where he fell and was detained, prosecutor Anthony Moore told the court.
Two phones were found on him, while a search of him home unearthed another phone and an iPad, neither of which had been registered with police as part of his SHPO order.
McRae, of Ley Lane, Armley, gave a no-comment interview at the police station.
A forensic analysis of his devices unearthed 341 Category A images - the most serious kind depicting the rape of children.
There was also 145 Category B and 129 Category C images.
Mitigating, Nicholas Hammond told the court: “He is under no illusions in the serious position he finds himself in.
“He had the good sense to plead guilty.”
He did point out that the offences were over two years ago, but added: “He has to acknowledge he has done something very stupid.”
The judge, Recorder Catherine Silverton, told McRae that prison was “unavoidable” because it was his second set of similar offences.
She jailed him for 20 months, put him on the sex offender register for 10 years and a new SHPO that will run indefinitely.
