£900,000 supercar damaged in attack on luxury showroom in Leeds


The windscreen of the Bugatti Veyron was smashed when a man broke into Kahn Automobiles on Kirkstall Road near the city centre in the early hours of yesterday.
The hooded man shattered one of the showroom’s large windows with a metal bar. He then walked inside and damaged the windscreen of the Bugatti before leaving.

Hide AdA company spokesman said: “We have reported the matter to police and are helping with their enquiries.”
He confirmed one vehicle had some “slight damage” but said it would be easily fixed.
Kahn Automobiles has branches in Leeds, Bradford and London and stocks a range of high-end classic and new vehicles, including Ferraris, Rolls Royces and Land Rover Defenders.
The used 2006 Bugatti Veyron is listed on the Kahn Automobiles website with a price tag of £899,875.

Hide AdCarrying the number plate ‘AK4’, its bodywork is described as “brushed aluminium over dark pearl blue”. It has 16,000 miles on the clock.


Police confirmed they were investigating an incident of burglary at the premises.
A spokesman said: “CCTV showed a white male with his hood up had used a metal bar to smash one of the showroom windows and then used the bar to hit the windscreen of a Bugatti car causing damage. He then ran off from the scene.”
