Police have seized an estimated £2.4million worth of cocaine during raids in Leeds.

Officers from the Yorkshire and the Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU) raided two properties in Tingley and Rodley on Monday, June 8.

Approximately 30kg of suspected cocaine was found.

A 40-year-old man was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

He remains in custody.

A 51-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.

He was released under investigation.

A spokesman from the ROCU said: "Officers seized approximately 30kg of suspected cocaine (with an estimated street value of £2.4m) during raids in Leeds yesterday.

"The suspected Class A drug was seized in the Tingley area and another in the Rodley area of the city.

"One male, 40 was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply class a drugs.

"He was remanded into custody.

"A second male, 51 was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class a drugs.

"He was released under investigation."
