Police searching River Aire for man who went missing from Leeds city centre

Police searching for a missing man are focusing on the River Aire after someone was seen entering the water in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Finley Jones, aged 21, was reported missing from an address in Leeds city centre on Saturday morning, with concerns raised for his welfare.

West Yorkshire Police later put out a missing person appeal.

CCTV checks have since shown a man entering the River Aire near to Crown Point Bridge at about 6.30am that morning.

Specialist emergency service teams are searching the area today (Monday).

Officers are continuing to appeal for anyone who has seen Finley at any point since he went missing or who has any information that could help.

He is described as white, 6ft 4ins tall, slim build, with blond hair.

He was wearing dark jeans and a blue jumper.
