Police searching for missing Leeds teen conclude search of woods as result of further information

Police searching for a missing teenager in Leeds have concluded a search of woodlands as 'a result of further information which has come to light'.

Officers have been searching for missing teenager Rawan Hussain, aged 16, from Chapel Allerton today.

Part of Gledhow Valley Woods and Gledhow Valley Road are condoned off as police conduct a search.

Officers are appealing for anyone who has seen her or who has any information that could help in tracing her to come forward.

Rawan is described as an Asian female, of medium build with curly dark brown hair.

Police believe she might have been wearing a head scarf, black coat and Nike trainers went she went missing.

Police said they are now conducting enquiries outside the immediate area, as 'a result of further information which has come to light during the course of enquiries'.

The search of the woods is concluding, police confirmed.

In a statement, police said: "We are still keen to trace Rawan and anyone with information is asked to contact officers via 101 quoting log number 905 of April 26 or online via the 101 chat service."
