Police search for Leeds thief wanted on recall to prison

Police have issued an appeal to help them trace a Leeds thief who is wanted on recall to prison.

Barry Riley, aged 39, has been wanted since December following his release from prison in October after serving a sentence for stealing from a shop.

He is also wanted on suspicion of a theft from a shop offence in February this year and is on warrant for failing to appear at court in North Yorkshire.

Barry is described as white, 5foot 10inches tall, of a slim build and with short brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone who sees him or has any information that could help police to find him is asked to contact officers via 101 quoting reference 13200618911 or online via www.westyorkshire.police.uk/101livechat.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police are appealing for information to help trace a man from Leeds who is wanted for recall to prison.

"Barry Riley, aged 39, has been wanted for recall to prison since December following his release from prison in October after serving a sentence for theft from a shop.

"He is also currently wanted on suspicion of a theft from shop offence in February this year and on warrant for failing to appear at court in North Yorkshire.

"He is described as white, 5ft 10ins tall, slim build, with short brown hair and blue eyes.

"Anyone who sees him or who has any information that could assist in locating him is asked to contact officers via 101 quoting reference 13200618911 or online via www.westyorkshire.police.uk/101livechat
