Police release update after shots fired at house in Seacroft

Police have released an update on an incident in Seacroft where shots were fired.

Officers believe it happened at about 8.25am on Saturday and the shots caused damaged to a house on Kentmere Avenue.

The suspect left the scene in a black car which was believed to be a Mercedes.

A car matching the description was stopped in Seacroft a short time later and three people were arrested from the car.

West Yorkshire Police have now corrected an earlier release which said that three men had been arrested.

Two men, aged 25 and 32, and a 19-year-old woman were arrested from the car.

They all remain in custody on Monday morning.

On Saturday, Detective Inspector James Entwistle, of Leeds District CID, said: “Our enquiries suggest this was a targeted attack and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact us so we can progress our investigation.

“The discharge of a firearm in a public place is a serious matter and there will be increased patrols in the area this weekend to reassure residents.”
