Police release image after two vulnerable victims burgled

Police investigating two linked burglaries involving vulnerable victims in Leeds have released an e-fit image of a suspect.

At around 6pm on Tuesday, October 13, offenders attempted to sneak into a house off Haddon Road, Burley but were unable to fully open the door as the victim's mobility scooter was in the way.

They were then disturbed by other family members arriving at the address.

At around 5.15pm on Friday, October 9, the man shown in the e-fit called at an 84-year-old woman's home off Queenswood Drive.

He engaged her in conversation about gardening work before stealing her purse containing cash and a bank card.

Police constable Alana Scott, of Leeds District Neighbourhood Crime Team, said: "This man has clearly targeted this victims due to their vulnerability and we urgently need to identify him.

"We are linking the incidents on the basis of the similar descriptions given by the witnesses and the proximity of the offences."
